I spent the day with Mom on Saturday. Kim and I went with her to lunch at Olga's, went to Kohls and went to see the movie Blind Side. After the movie, we went grocery shopping at Family Fare. All day long she kept mentioning to me about looking forward to being able to drive again and how we won't have to take her anymore. Ross had come over to get the car running.
At the end of the day, just before leaving, I mentioned to her that I know how important it is for her to be driving. I told her that all of her children had discussed her driving and we were all very concerned for her safety and others. She jumped in to tell me that she would be willing to take a driving test because she knew she could pass it. I said that we would like to have her take the test and that if the state said that she was able to drive then that would be good. I left it at that. She was not upset at all.

I'll bring fresh lemonade and the fresh-made raspberry drinks I brought to Christmas before last.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Terry, for setting up the blog.
ReplyDeleteAfter I got her car running, I had dinner with mom and dad and I did tell her that we had asked that she be tested. She didn't have a problem with it, she just asked that someone in the family accompany her during the test. I didn't say it alright, but gave her a hint that all the sibs were in agreement, so she doesn't unfairly blame anyone, like Ron.
